FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the purpose of the curator page?
It gives approved curators one place to find orientation materials, the curator video, current standards, and reference information.
How do curators get access?
Curators receive an access token directly from the project team. The secure admin area verifies the token before showing private curator materials.
Are there video demonstrations I can review?
Yes. Review the end-user application demo and the curator demo.
What should a curator check before submitting an update?
Suggested checks include name, location, contact details, web and social links, church status, source reliability, and whether a change conflicts with existing directory data.
Where can curators find the characteristic codes?
The current list of church characteristic codes is maintained in the Church Search documentation. Use that reference when applying or interpreting codes in the directory.
Who should curators contact when something is unclear?
Curators should contact Jim Barton at jimhbarton@crc-coc.org or Stan Granberg at stangranberg@heritage21.org with unresolved questions, contested records, uncertain codes, or technical access issues.
Can the access token be shared?
No. Each curator should receive access directly from the project team so access can be changed or revoked when needed.
